KNOW ACT ACHIEVE
Putting health strategies into action is no simple task. Any tactic will have several different players – ranging from employees covered by a group health plan to hospitals serving a rural community. More players mean more complexity and more need for a careful, thorough action plan.

Marketing the idea is a key to its success. And there are many forms of marketing. Involving stakeholders in planning is marketing, as are on-line surveys, user advisory groups, and cartoon mascots.

Example of a past project . . .
  • create and attract users to a health policy knowledge management portal.
An on-line survey showed that users would use a website for certain types of information. For its debut, the site had many but not all of the features that users had requested. More features were added over time, with user feedback invited at every opportunity. Users gained a sense of ownership for the site, and take full advantage of it.
